After Mako and Oscar: Mohamed El-Sherif Announces a New Production Map Featuring 3 Series
Producer Mohamed El-Sherif, Chairman of Pyramids Company, is preparing to shoot 3 diverse drama series, following the presentation of the science fiction films Mako and Oscar: Return of the Mammoth, and the completion of filming the series Aila Ta’mal A’mayel.
Ghiyab: A True Story in a Romantic Framework
The first series bears the name Ghiyab (Absence), a work inspired by a true story that belongs to romantic drama. It addresses a range of deep human issues and emotions in a dramatic treatment that presents this genre of stories in a different way.
The Last Bell: A New Comedy Work
As for the second series, it is titled The Last Bell and belongs to a comedy framework. Selection processes for the cast and director are currently underway in preparation for settling on the work team and starting filming preparations.
Ana: Hesham El-Rasheedy Directing
The third series comes under the title Ana (I), directed by Hesham El-Rasheedy. Nominations and selections for the remaining crew and cast members are currently underway to determine the final start date for filming.
Aila Ta’mal A’mayel Brings Together Egyptian and Syrian Stars
In the same context, producer Mohamed El-Sherif recently finished executing a number of Turkish series, and has completely finished filming the new Egyptian-Syrian series Aila Ta’mal A’mayel, a social comedy that brings together a selection of Egyptian and Syrian drama stars.
The series stars Mohamed Tharwat, Mai Selim, Andre Skaf, Nazli Al-Rawas, Nahed Al-Halabi, and Abeer Shams El-Din, along with a group of guest stars from Egypt’s most prominent celebrities, namely Moustafa Amar, Mohamed Lotfy, Monther Rayahneh, Ahmed El-Tohamy, Mohamed Mehran, and Eman Youssef. The series is written by Loai Al-Nouri and directed by Safwan Mustafa Nemou.
A Proven Track Record with Prominent Cinematic Works
Throughout his career, producer Mohamed El-Sherif has presented a number of cinematic works that received public and critical attention. Most notable among them is the film Mako, considered one of the Egyptian cinematic experiences that offered an atmosphere inspired by international shark movies. It is based on a true story and was filmed entirely underwater.
Mako co-starred Turkish star Murat Yildirim alongside Monther Rayahneh, Basma, Nicolas Mouawad, Nahed El-Sebai, Ferial Youssef, Amr Wahba, Sarah El-Shamy, and several other artists. The work was directed by Mohamed Hesham El-Rasheedy.
Oscar: Return of the Mammoth and the Visual Effects Experience
Among the most prominent cinematic works presented by Mohamed El-Sherif is also the movie Oscar: Return of the Mammoth, which relied heavily on modern visual effects and graphics techniques (VFX) in partnership with Trend.
The film stars Ahmed Salah Hosny, Hanady Mehanna, Mohamed Tharwat, child actress Lia Soueidan, and Ahmed El-Bayed, alongside a number of lead actors and artists. The work was directed by Hesham El-Rasheedy.
An Expansion Plan for Pyramids in the Exhibitions Sector
Regarding the upcoming investment and expansion plan, Pyramids Exhibitions Company is preparing to open the Cairo Fashion & Tex and Cairo Mother exhibitions, which specialize in women’s and men’s wear, fabrics, yarn, textiles, and home wear, in their 83rd edition.
The exhibition events are scheduled to take place from October 2 to 4, with the participation of more than 750 Egyptian and foreign companies, including 250 foreign companies specializing in fabrics, yarn, and textiles. The exhibition activities span an area of up to 450,000 square meters, reflecting the volume of investments and future aspirations regarding increasing export opportunities.
Attracting Importers from Arab, African, and European Markets
In cooperation with the General Authority for Exhibitions, an agreement was reached to attract more than 600 visitors among importers from Arab, African, and European countries to visit the exhibition and learn about the participating products and sectors, contributing to supporting and encouraging the clothing and fabric industry inside and outside Egypt.
This comes amidst the growth witnessed by Egyptian clothing exports, as the sector’s export value exceeded the $3 billion barrier, coinciding with the expansion of investments in the textile manufacturing sector.
Meetings and Events to Support the Apparel Industry
The exhibition events include a group of specialized activities and meetings in the clothing and fabric industry, including B2B meetings that bring together participating companies with Egyptian and foreign importers and visitors, alongside organizing workshops featuring a number of specialists and fashion creators.
The exhibition also features meetings with several government officials to discuss challenges and problems facing the clothing and fabric industry, and to explore ways to overcome obstacles that may affect production, manufacturing, and export processes.
