Producer Dr. Mohamed El-Sherif is preparing to enter a new production phase on drama screens through three series at once, in a step reflecting his orientation toward offering works diverse in their themes and formats, following a group of cinematic experiences that carried a different character, led by the films Mako and Oscar: Return of the Mammoth, alongside completing the filming of the Egyptian-Syrian series Aila Ta’mal A’mayel.
The new production map that El-Sherif is preparing to execute includes three works belonging to different dramatic genres, ranging from romance and comedy to drama, utilizing a number of drama makers, including director Hesham El-Rasheedy, who is directing one of the new projects.
Ghiyab: A True Story and Human Emotions
The series Ghiyab (Absence) comes at the forefront of the new projects. It is a romantic drama based on a true story that addresses a range of deep human issues and emotions through a treatment that seeks to present a different and non-traditional vision of human relationships.
The company is currently working on completing the technical details of the series, in preparation for announcing its stars, technical crew, and the start date for filming.
The Last Bell: A Return to Comedy
As for the second project, it bears the name The Last Bell and belongs to a comedy framework. Selection processes for the cast and director are currently underway in preparation for settling on the final team and launching filming.
The series comes as part of El-Sherif’s strategy to diversify his dramatic production and not confine his projects to a single genre, especially after the cinematic experiences he presented in recent years.
Hesham El-Rasheedy Leads Ana
The third project bears the title Ana (I), directed by director Hesham El-Rasheedy, who previously collaborated with producer Mohamed El-Sherif in cinematic experiences, most notably the film Mako.
Nominations for the remaining cast and crew are currently underway, with details to be announced successively alongside determining the final date for the start of filming.
Aila Ta’mal A’mayel: An Egyptian-Syrian Comedy
In parallel with preparations for the new projects, Mohamed El-Sherif finished filming the Egyptian-Syrian series Aila Ta’mal A’mayel, a social comedy that brings together a selection of Egyptian and Syrian drama stars.

The series stars Mohamed Tharwat, Mai Selim, Andre Skaf, Nazli Al-Rawas, Nahed Al-Halabi, and Abeer Shams El-Din, alongside a number of guest stars, including Moustafa Amar, Mohamed Lotfy, Monther Rayahneh, Ahmed El-Tohamy, Mohamed Mehran, and Eman Youssef.
The series is written by Loai Al-Nouri and directed by Safwan Mustafa Nemou, offering a mix of comedy and social situations through a group of Egyptian and Syrian characters.
Mako and Oscar: Return of the Mammoth
The new drama map comes after remarkable cinematic experiences for producer Mohamed El-Sherif, most notably the film Mako and the film Oscar: Return of the Mammoth.
Pyramids’ activities do not stop at cinematic and dramatic production, as the group is preparing through its exhibitions sector to organize the 83rd edition of the Cairo Fashion & Tex and Cairo Mother exhibitions from October 2 to 4.
